We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth! Amazon is a place where builders can build, grow, and develop in a new frontier of data center and business operations. We hire the world's brightest minds and offer them an environment in which they can invent and innovate to improve the experience for our customers. If you'd like to help us build a place where you can find and buy anything online, this is the job for you. We are currently seeking a Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician.

A fundamental understanding of these systems is required, as the individual will be expected to identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and organizations.

As a NDT Technician, you are expected to support projects from conception to completion. Projects will involve independent work and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. In the NDT Tech role, you are expected to delight the customer by building trust, delivering on key milestones, and acting as a good steward by overseeing the procurement and upkeep of fleet vehicles, equipment, and tools.

Key job responsibilities

Act as an ambassador for safety for the team and site

Remain cognizant of and act in compliance with all security protocols

Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and management on a daily basis

Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up

Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs

Ability to interpret data and create qualitative and quantitative analysis

Accurately record time, mileage, and travel related expenses

Expected to provide cross-functional support within the services team

Engaging with external vendors

The NDT Tech will work closely with both internal customers, external vendors as well as coordinate regional resources to facilitate smooth work execution. You will perform and support nondestructive testing operations of data center critical systems, to include power distribution, mechanical, plumbing, building automation, structural, and other equipment that supports the critical operation.

To be successful in this role you should be highly autonomous, detail oriented, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, strong computer literacy, and have significant experience in supporting critical infrastructure. You will design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role will showcase your independent contribution as well as offer the opportunity to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
