Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and test electrical systems and controls for HVAC manufacturing, with a primary focus on electrical starter and control panel design, switchboard fabrication, and plant facility oversight. • Maintain protective relay devices to protect substation equipment. Help assist in retrieving and interpreting historical events for diagnostics.

• Digital systems development to include digital sub-systems architecture, requirements decomposition and flow-down, specification development, design tradeoff optimization and design approach determination including hardware / software tradeoff optimization and component selection, detailed design, design analysis with documentation, gate reviews, and verification.
• FPGA design including VHDL and/or Verilog coding, verification plan generation, simulation test bench development, simultation testcase coding, Static Timing Analysis (STA), power consumption estimation, FPGA synthesis, FPGA place and route, lab test development and execution, debug.
• Embedded software develeopment, including software architecture, coding, unit test, and software verification. C/C++ coding experience.
• Familiarity with serial and parallel digital interfaces; I2C, SPI, RS-422/RS-485
• Analysis of power consumption, worst case tolerances, component de-rating.
• Operation of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, and function generators.
• Ability to develop and make technical presentations to customers and other L3Harris groups.
• Supervise and/or provide guidance in design certification tests and document results.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience .
• 9+ years electrical design experience in the DOD industry.
• 7+ years of FPGA development experience in the DOD industry.
• 5+ years embedded software development experience in the DOD industry.
• 5+ years of experience developing electronics for the DoD / military marke.t
• 5+ years experience tasking, scheduling, and budgeting EE and software design and development programs.
• 5+ years leading EE design and development teams.
• United States citizenship is required.

• Oversee installation, inspection, and commissioning of new equipment.
