Our client, a manufacturing leader in agriculture and construction equipment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of the manufacturing activities in fabrication, machining, weld, and painting.

Pay Range: $120,000-$141,000/year + 15% Bonus

What's the Job?

  • Accountable for managing people and deploying resources to support the needs of the business. Provide direct supervision and insure organizational objectives align with plant and corporate objectives. Provide feedback and coaching to direct reports, and foster a teamwork environment throughout the business unit.
  • Accountable for meeting day-to-day and short-term targets by setting priorities for the team and ensuring task completion.
  • Understand long-term vision and provide direction and resources to support World Class Manufacturing objectives and cost reduction targets.
  • Sets up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature.
  • Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations.
  • As an Area Manager, you will have 3 supervisors. Weld has the most employees with almost 60, fabrication has approximately 30 and the Paint area has another 20 so we are talking over 100 hourly employees below this person.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelors Degree preferred. Open to Associates Degrees with more years of experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing of large machinery and even some automobile is necessary especially departments that have several different make part numbers.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience with World Class Manufacturing (WCM)/Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
  • Experience within fabrication, welding, machining or painting departments FIRM REQUIREMENT!

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of experience in engineering and project management, or 9 years of experience in engineering and project management.

The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Haris is seeking an Associate Manager, Manufacturing Engineering; with a background in automotive, aerospace, defense, high volume manufacturing, lean six sigma R&D, or composites to work at our state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Huntsville, AL, which will be our inert manufacturing facility for fabrication and assembly of composite rocket motor hardware.
