Job Summary Works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care services, while considering patient specific factors, through the prioritization and processing of medication orders, the preparing of medications for dispensing, distribution and stocking of patient care locations for subsequent drug administration. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities
  • Practices the Medication-Use Process: Procures, handles, prepares, distributes, charges/credits and disposes of medication safely and accurately.
  • Manages own pharmacy practice effectively.
  • Processes and prepares sterile products for dispensing.
  • Participates in inventory management.
  • Uses and maintains automation/equipment.
  • Assists the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients.
  • Contributes to goals, programs and report cards for operational unit and entity.
  • Provides education/training.
  • Completes assigned goals.
Specifications Experience Minimum Required Preferred/Desired
  • Previous experience in setting involving medication distribution. Previous hospital experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience as required by job

Pharmacy Supervisor Cancer Center

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: PHARMACY SUPERVISOR CANCER CENTER SUMMARY: The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing our sterile compounding operations in Boise, Nampa and Caldwell. They will be responsible for onboarding new pharmacists and technicians to the IV team. The Supervisor will work closely with Cancer Institute leadership, attend daily team huddles, and support clinical development across the entire Cancer Institute. Relocation and Sign-on Bonus Available. REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required. PharmD preferred.
  • Must be licensed by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Hours: The pharmacy supervisor will manage their schedule. The Supervisor will likely contribute by working four 10-hour shifts during the week, with no nights or weekends. The Supervisor will cover sick calls and staff to cover open shifts.
