Radiology Technologist FT Rotating Position Summary

Takes radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

Responsibilities

Prepares and positions patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately.

Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.

Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.

Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.

Checks for accuracy of ordered exams by comparing to written physician order.

Verifies correct patient by two forms of identity verification, prior to injecting patient or starting exam.

Maintains patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices.

Maintains proper oxygen therapy on patients who require oxygen.

Maintain skills required to change oxygen tanks.

Must be able to use masks and nasal canula.

Adjusts rate of O2 flow with mask/nasal canula according to written physician orders.

Secures and safely transports e-cylinders.

Accesses electronic patient health record via current system.

Inputs and processes requisitions.

Inputs all relevant information and provides film/imaging history to physician, as appropriate.

Expectations for operating room: Manipulates/operates all C-arms, troubleshoots errors with equipment, performs sterile technique while operating C-arm, assists circulating RN as needed, prints films from C-arm when needed, archives images to PACS from C-arm, sets-up C-arm with all patient information, positions C-arm to the surgeons specifications, locates/documents patient dose.

THE RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST FT ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

EDUCATION

Required: Graduate of an accredited radiology program.

CERTIFICATION

Required: ARRT- R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE)- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required: The experience acquired during radiology program and student clinical training.

Radiology Tech Full Time Days Position Summary

Performs radiographic procedures to patients in accordance with departmental policy. Provides a variety of technical exams that require independent judgement to apply ionized radiation for radiologic diagnoses. Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated. Must be able to do surgery cases and pain management.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Good verbal communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.

Radiology Scheduling Agent

Join Midstate Radiology Associates (MRA) as a Full Time, Radiology Scheduling Agent at our Access Center in Wallingford. This work is fully on-site.

Position Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Compensation: MRA offers competitive starting compensation based on qualifications and experience. Starting pay for this position is between $17.00 and $23.20 per hour.

Job Summary:

Radiology Scheduling Agents are responsible for scheduling patients for all modalities at all of MRA's service locations following established workflows and procedures. Radiology Scheduling Agents take inbound calls or make outbound calls to schedule radiology exams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Answer inbound calls from all offices and patients requesting to schedule radiology or MRI exams.
  • Make outbound calls to patients and offices to schedule radiology and MRI exams.
  • Proficiently schedule all modalities for all MRA service locations following established protocol, workflows, and scripting.
  • Meet or exceed individual performance criteria.
  • Strive to meet established departmental goals and achieve desired call center metrics.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and reference materials and remain in a state of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Model H3W behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on the changing needs of the organization.

Qualifications Guidelines:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a call center environment preferred.

  • Experience being accountable for call center metrics is preferred (answer time, average handle time, return to queue, etc.).
