System Architecture Engineer

Position Purpose and Overview

The system architecture engineer is a significant position in the Quectel R&D team. You will be utilizing essential technical expertise of software architecture to be responsible for tuning the Quectel software platform, partake in roadmap evolution, as well as oversee product development at system architectural level. You will need to proactively take measures to promote new technology research and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support PDM, Sales, PM & SPM to define product development strategy, roadmap and high-level solutions cross product life cycle.
  • Support and participate reviewing customer RFQ or any technical requirement to identify system architecture for new business win or maintaining existing account.
  • Owner of, or support new technology studying or new feature analysis and prototyping; create & maintain detail technical requirements for each function domain working with technical experts in software/hardware/test teams and following to support technology & feature implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support product development from system level including search for solutions, feasibility studying, create and finalize the design specification, review HW/SW implementations and hand-on for development; estimate the effort, collaboration between project teams ensure consistency for cross product design and implementation
  • Create and maintain system technical documentation and ensure accuracy for technical information with high quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Telecommunication, Master or PhD will be plus.
  • 10+ years' relevant experience on wireless communication system development preferred in automotive Telematics, Cockpit or Embedded IoT Solution with minimum 3 years working at system architect level
  • Systematic logical thinking and proactive working way
  • Fluent communication and presentation skill in English; bilingual Chinese is preferred.
  • Business trip is required on request.
  • System architectural level expertise in at least 3 of the following areas:
  • Embedded Linux
  • Real-time Embedded software and device development (PCIe, USB, UART, GPIO, I2C or I2S, RGMII, SGMII, Ethernet, Hypervisor, QNX, etc.)
  • Wireless standards (3GPP, C-V2X, ADAS, GNSS, WIFI/BT, eVAB, CAN BUS, etc.)
  • Data services (TCP/IP, QoS, etc.)
  • Cyber Security (DM-Verity, SELinux, Tustzone Crypto, SSL, Sandbox )
  • Quality Stands and Process (ASPICE, ISO16949, ISO21434 )
  • Memory & file management systems and protection algorithms
  • Android system architecture and application development.

Pega Lead System Architect

Purpose:

The role of a Pega Lead System Architect will have a strong focus placed on analysis and engineering aspects of the Pega Platform. Prepare solution designs that will deliver to a diverse range of business areas within the bank. Lead and assist team through end to end project delivery lifecycle i.e requirements, design, development, testing and maintenance.

  • Capable of technically leading multiple squads in delivery of customer focused, integrated solutions.
  • Component based; reusable architecture should be core of the solutions they provide.
  • Own the governance of the application build and ensuring delivery and Pega guardrails are adhered to.
  • They will provide critical thinking and a high degree of technical innovation and attention to detail while being recognized as a trusted advisor to the team and stakeholders.

Candidate should have LSA Certification part 1 is a mandatory requirement for consideration.

Essential capabilities:

Participate in elaboration sessions - Participate in requirement gathering sessions and guide the LBA and the client SMEs to elaborate the requirements, process steps, and objectives.

Work with other Pega LBAs, and SSAs to improve standards and guidelines.

Work in agile methodology and support the Manager Engineer to size, manage scope, and highlight risks using stand-ups, burn-down, status reports, retrospectives, etc.

  • Highlight risks and assumptions identified during the course of the project.
  • Work closely with delivery teams of various applications in ensuring test alignment at the test case level.
  • Escalate the issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, and Resources) to the Manager Engineer.
  • Ensure the delivered solution matches customer functional requirements and commits to Customer Success.
  • Governance of the application build and ensuring delivery and Pega guardrails are adhered to

Versa SD-WAN System Architect

  • Designing, deploying and optimizing Versa SDWAN solutions, providing technical leadershipand collaborating with customers and other stakeholders to ensure successful implemenations.

  • Proficiency in using Concerto's lifecycle stages for configuring, deploying, monitoring, and managing SD-WAN deployments
  • Understanding Concerto's hierarchical configuration structure, including master profiles, subprofiles, policies, and rules
  • Ability to create, configure, and manage SD-WAN tenants within Concerto
  • Familiarity with Concerto's API for automation and integration
  • To effectively manage and deploy Versa's Secure SD-WAN solutions using Versa Concerto
  • Good hands-on experience in managing device configurations, software upgrades, and other administrative tasks
  • Proficiency in using the tools for SD-WAN management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to identify and resolve SD-WAN performance issues using Versa Director and Versa Analytics
  • Must have hands-on experience on IP Networking , Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, L3VPN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, BFD, Application aware Routing & QoS) and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP, VxLAN)
  • TCP/IP protocol suite
