Job Title: Embedded Software Quality Engineer
Contract Duration - 6 months/w2
Position Summary
Responsible for managing software issue backlogs, investigating product defects, assessing risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead investigations into software defects and determine their cause, impact, and severity.
Coordinate issue triage, identify duplicate records, and document investigation findings and resolutions.
Maintain accurate, audit-ready issue records in JIRA.
Assess product risks, identify gaps in risk documentation, and escalate safety-critical issues when required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations.
Track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or automotive, is highly preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Proficiency in JIRA and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
