Manufacturing / Industrialization Engineer (Automation & Production Launch)
We're seeking a Manufacturing/Industrialization Engineer to help develop and launch advanced automated manufacturing processes within a highly innovative production environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking a manufacturing concept and turning it into a fully operational production line. You'll work hands-on with automation equipment, robotics, vision systems, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams to bring new manufacturing processes from concept through production launch.
**this is a permanent/direct hire position with Insight Global's client (confidential) and will sit on site. Targeted start date is September 30th, but can be flexible depending on candidate's require notice period**
What You'll Be Doing
Lead development and industrialization of new manufacturing processes and production equipment
Own equipment requirements, design reviews, commissioning activities, and production qualification
Partner with automation vendors and equipment suppliers throughout development and startup
Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), installation, and commissioning activities
Improve throughput, yield, equipment reliability, and overall manufacturing performance
Monitor process performance metrics including OEE and cycle times
Troubleshoot production issues and eliminate startup bottlenecks
Develop production documentation, process flows, layouts, SOPs, PFMEAs, and quality plans
Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and R&D teams to implement future manufacturing innovations
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or a related field
Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or production industrialization
Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment and production launches
Strong CAD experience creating and modifying complex equipment assemblies
Experience working with robotics, automation systems, and machine vision technologies
Familiarity with manufacturing process development, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience creating engineering documentation including electrical and pneumatic drawings
Knowledge of PFMEA, process validation, cycle time analysis, and quality methodologies
Experience working directly with equipment suppliers and machine builders
