American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of orthopedic outpatient experience to treat multiple patients simultaneously across several clinic locations.
Requirements
Active AZ PT license required before start date, or proof that license will be obtained prior to start (License required if applicable)
Minimum 1 year of outpatient experience required
BLS certification required
Outpatient orthopedic experience required
Experience treating multiple patients concurrently required
Charting system experience required (any EMR)
Must maintain licensure in good standing throughout the assignment
Responsibilities
Outpatient Physical Therapy setting
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Weekly float required between Goodyear, Buckeye, and Surprise clinic locations
Productivity expectation of approximately 60 visits per 40-hour week
Treats more than one patient at a time
Patient population includes orthopedic conditions, injured workers, and those requiring post-op rehabilitation
Performs specialized testing including WorkSTEPS, APET, Work Hardening Evaluations, and Functional Capacity Evaluations
Conducts ergonomic evaluations and job analyses
Evaluates and treats physical therapy patients per physician referral or direct access
Supervises physical therapy assistants and PT technicians in carrying out plans of care
Assesses and treats injured workers using ACOMP systems for safe return-to-work planning
Utilizes various modalities and exercise equipment available at the facility
Communicates patient progress weekly to rehab nurses and maintains timely documentation with referring physicians
Assists with scheduling, phone coverage, and intake of referrals as needed
Understands and applies billing codes for various payer types
May support marketing and community outreach efforts as patient load allows
First-time travelers will be considered for this position
