About The Role

Children's Residential Care Provider

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Manager to join our growing children's residential care organisation in Sunderland.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can help strengthen our online presence, showcase the positive work taking place across our services and support our recruitment and business growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms
  • Managing and developing the organisation's social media accounts
  • Producing graphics, photographs, videos and promotional materials
  • Planning and maintaining a consistent content calendar
  • Supporting recruitment campaigns and job advertisements
  • Promoting company achievements, events and staff success stories
  • Monitoring engagement and reporting on social media performance
  • Ensuring all content protects the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the children we support
  • Working closely with managers and staff across the organisation to identify positive stories and content opportunities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience managing business social media accounts
  • Be confident creating professional written, visual and video content
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Understand branding and digital marketing
  • Be creative, proactive and able to work independently
  • Have an understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality, ideally within children's services, health, education or social care
  • Be able to travel between services when required

Experience using platforms such as Canva, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn and video-editing software would be advantageous.
