Minimum Requirements: Education / Experience (TESA / DoD 8140 DCWF 621): Must be able to achieve TESA status. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years relevant experience; ORAssociate’s degree with 10+ years relevant experience; ORHigh School diploma with 12+ years relevant experience. Required Certifications: Any Major Industry certification. Technical Requirements: Minimum of 5+ years designing, building, and troubleshooting Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven) and Power Automate flows. Strong software engineering experience with Python, including OOP, testing, and API integrations. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments. Experience writing Ansible playbooks for infrastructure and network automation. Experience with Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews. U.S. Citizenship required. Peraton is currently hiring an experiencedData Visualization Scientist designs, develops, integrates, and sustains software solutions that support data-driven operations, analytics, and decision-making to join our U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCC-E) program. Location: Wiesbaden, Germany Overview: In this role, you will join and support the U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCC-E) in designing, developing, automating, deploying, and supporting enterprise solutions across multiple RCC-E teams. The Data Visualization / Palantir & DevOps Engineer will design and build graphical representations of complex data to help technical and non-technical stakeholders understand trends, identify insights, and make informed decisions. The primary focus of this role is developing data visualizations using Palantir software and Microsoft Power Platform solutions. The role includes building and configuring solutions within Palantir platforms, including data models, workflows, pipelines, ontologies, applications, and user-facing tools, as applicable to the organization's environment. This position requires expertise in building scalable solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, integrating enterprise applications, and supporting Agile delivery teams.Responsibilities Reponsibilities: Data Visualization Development: Dashboard & Visual Creation: Build dynamic, interactive dashboards, maps, and visual reports for end users. Analysis & Modeling: Perform statistical analysis and/or apply machine learning models to identify hidden patterns, outliers, trends, and actionable insights. Data Preparation & Application Design: Define and apply enterprise standards for application design, Workshop architecture, interaction patterns, reuse, usability, and maintainability. Programming: Develop data manipulation and application solutions using Python, R, or JavaScript. Additional Programming Languages: Experience with the following is a plus:o VB.NET / Visual Basico C#o PowerShello SQLo YAMLo KQLo Bash / Shell scripting Visualization Tools: Demonstrate expertise with visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Palantir, D3.js, or Looker. Mathematics & Statistics: Apply a strong foundation in statistics, data modeling, and numeracy. Visualization Design Principles: Apply color theory, human perception, and layout best practices to ensure data is represented accurately and effectively and to avoid misleading visualizations. Palantir & Enterprise Application Development: Build and configure solutions within Palantir platforms, including data models, workflows, pipelines, ontologies, applications, and user-facing tools. Establish standards for how ontology-backed applications represent business concepts. Ensure Actions and Functions are used responsibly and aligned with long-term product and platform strategy. Evaluate enterprise application opportunities and determine where solutions such as Palantir or Microsoft Power Platform applications can provide the greatest operational value and workflow impact. Serve as the highest-level escalation point for data visualization efforts, including design, release, usability, lifecycle, and maintainability issues. Mentor team members, establish development best practices, and evaluate emerging application patterns to continuously improve the application-development function. Complete daily development tasks, user stories, and technical assignments under the direction of the DevOps Manager. Agile & DevOps Support: Work within Agile methodologies to support DevOps functions and delivery teams. Maintain and update existing CI/CD pipelines. Execute deployments and monitor system health using established GitOps workflows. Write clean, maintainable Python code for backend applications, APIs, and integrations. Support and enhance existing Python codebases in accordance with enterprise design standards. Troubleshoot and optimize application performance. Infrastructure & Automation: Support containerized deployments in Kubernetes environments (a plus). Assist with infrastructure automation and environment management (a plus). Manage and maintain databases supporting DevOps solutions, including:o MySQLo PostgreSQLo Verticao Oracle Security & Compliance: Assist in automating secure configurations for network devices in accordance with STIGs and other DoD enterprise security standards. Manage user roles, access policies, and authentication integrations, including:o AUDSo LDAPo SSOo SAMLo RMFo Audit support Documentation & Change Management: Maintain current architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
