Duties Partner closely with UI/UX designers to build tooling that enables Android prototyping and development. Support cross-functional collaboration between design and engineering teams. Translate technical concepts and challenges into language understandable by designers, product managers, and other non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to scalable UI patterns and design system initiatives.
Requirements 7-10+ years Android engineering experience. Lead-level capabilities desired. Strong Android Development Experience Expert-level Android SDK knowledge. Experience building Android UI solutions. UI Framework Expertise Must have experience with both:
Jetpack Compose Traditional XML-based Android Views
Design Systems Experience Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or enabling design systems. Experience creating tooling/platforms that support designers and engineers. Familiarity alone is not sufficient. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
Android animation expertise and best practices. Strong UX/design mindset. Familiarity with AI tools and agentic workflows. Experience working in highly collaborative design-engineering environments.
Ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
