Steel, Bronze & Aluminum Window Mechanic — NYC
We're hiring an experienced window mechanic for high-end, single-family townhome projects throughout New York City. Our work includes custom steel, bronze, and aluminum window and door systems for high-end contractors who expect exceptional craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail.
What we're looking for:
* Experience installing steel, bronze, and aluminum window and door systems.
* Proficiency in field glazing, including setting blocks, gaskets, sealants, and clean silicone finishing.
* Proven ability to safely handle and set large, heavy glass using appropriate lifting equipment and coordinated teamwork.
* Ability to read shop drawings, verify field dimensions, and accurately set, anchor, and align frames.
* Experience adjusting operable windows, doors, and hardware for proper function.
* Careful protection of finished surfaces and a clean, organized approach to working in luxury residences.
* Reliability, discretion, and professional communication with coworkers, contractors, and homeowners.
* Mini crane and glass manipulator certifications are a bonus, but not required.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in precise installations and understands that the smallest details matter on these projects.
