I am currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join a retailer based in Leeds. This role would be perfect for a Junior Merchandiser who is ready to move into a Merchandiser role.
Some of your key responsibilities will include;
- Working collaboratively with buying to drive strategy for future seasons collections.
- Building relationships with internal teams to continuously develop & optimise product lines.
- Maximising both Sales & margins ensuring stock requirement achieved
- Reviewing daily & weekly trading reports to reduce stock risks
- Responsibility for stock management to increase sales & reduce obsolete stock.
- Dealing & resolving any escalated central merchandise team queries
- Collating figures and updating the senior Management team regularly
- Monitoring key market & competitor activity
Key requirement for the role;
- Previous experience within a Retail Merchandising environment, at a Junior Merchandiser level.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure with proven problem-solving skills.
- Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse & collate info from various sources.
- Commercially aware and business focussed.
- Able to manage & motivate your team to achieve both individual and team goals.
- Excellent understanding of all MS Office products especially Excel
