Merkle, part of dentsu, is seeking a senior Enterprise Architect to lead large-scale IT architecture transformations for clients in the manufacturing industry (e.g., mechanical engineering, electronics, manufacturing). The role involves developing holistic technology strategies, modernizing legacy landscapes, and aligning solutions with business goals.
Responsibilities Design and drive architecture roadmaps
Align technical solutions with business objectives
Evaluate and integrate new technologies
Establish architecture governance and standards
Collaborate with other architects
Provide expert advice and mentoring
Requirements At least 8 years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture with leadership of large transformations
Experience in two or more areas such as CMS, DAM, E-Commerce, PIM, MDM, CRM, process/data integration and automation
Strong SAP knowledge (integration design, ERP-SD processes, data migration, cloud migration like S/4HANA)
Experience in or with the manufacturing sector (discrete manufacturing preferred)
Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and modern IT architectures (cloud, APIs, microservices)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent German and very good English
Location & Contract The position is full-time, based in Munich with flexible working hours and home office options.
