Risk Engineer Consultant (Mid-Senior or Senior)

Zurich's Middle Markets Risk Engineering team is seeking a Risk Engineering Consultant with Property and Casualty Risk Engineering experience to support the Middle Market Underwriting Business Unit. This role reports to the Regional Risk Engineering Manager.

We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Remote GA, NC, or SC. This is a work from home role. This role required State Travel within this territory.

Risk Engineering Consultants:

  • Perform field engineering risk assessments and risk improvement services for prospect accounts and bound accounts. This may be done virtually but often requires travel where necessary but primarily within the region.
  • Provide engineering support to underwriting teams and attend client/broker meetings as needed.
  • Manage account risk portfolio and provide account level engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
  • Provide advanced property and casualty consultative services to customers, identify exposures with significant loss potential, investigate cause/effect of major losses and review/assess property/casualty management program effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement customer service strategies that reduce losses and improve customer operations.
  • Monitor property and casualty account engineering services to ensure that delivery is proper, on-time, and cost effective.
  • Assist in marketing Zurich resilience solutions, and risk transfer insurance products in conjunction with underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.

Final candidates will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check as this position includes a company car.

Eligibility for a company car will be determined based on the demands of the position and the associated geography. Transportation expense options will be discussed during the interview process.

The role will be filled at the Risk Engineering Consultant or Senior Risk Engineering Consultant level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant's experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Basic Qualifications:

Risk Engineering Consultant:

  • Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area OR
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area AND
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Relevant experience in the assessment of risk, based on what is required by LOB specific competency standards

OR

Senior Risk Engineering Consultant:

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area OR
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area AND
  • Experience working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate knowledge of exposures and controls

  • As a Front-End ASIC Synthesis Engineer, you will own RTL synthesis and gate level optimization tasks

  • Collaboration with physical design to address timing, area, congestion tradeoffs

  • Drive timing closure and power/area optimization across multiple design blocks

  • Work with DFT and Verification teams to ensure functional and timing correctness

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in front-end ASIC synthesis and integration.

  • Deep understanding of Verilog RTL design and digital design principles.

  • Proven experience with industry-standard EDA tools for synthesis (e.g., Synopsys Design Compiler).

  • Hands-on experience with timing analysis, constraint management, and post-synthesis ECO flows.

  • Solid background in low-power and high-performance design optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with formal verification tools (e.g., Formality/Conformal LEC) and methodologies.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge of DFT/Test logic including JTAG, scan, high speed I/O loopback, and memory BIST.

  • Have proficiency in programming (Python, Perl, Tcl).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Performs advanced regulatory/technical problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for regulatory/technical decisions. Senior Construction Risk Engineering Consultant

Zurich is currently looking for a Senior Risk Engineering Consultant for the Construction Casualty Lines of Business in our West region.   • Will be responsible on multiple large construction accounts within the region.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) is currently accepting applications for a River Engineer 1. This position will be assigned to the Marine Repair Facility (MRF) in Catlettsburg, KY and will report to the Port Engineers. River Engineers are critical members of the MRF, and we are looking for individuals who can contribute to our inclusive work environment.

River Engineers are responsible for the mechanical operation of boats and barges. They work closely with the vessel's Captain and shore-based personnel to maintain the vessel's operability. River Engineers provide supervision and training to personnel reporting to the engine room and are responsible for adherence to the Company and regulatory policies and procedures for engine room activities.

The River Engineer 1 will work a 28-day on and 28-day off rotation on line-haul boats. Travel to and from the vessel for crew changes is expected. Crew changes are accomplished by utilizing a crew van or other rental vehicle. At times, it may be necessary to travel by airline or other mode of transportation as available, depending on the location of the vessel.

This position is part of a progression where satisfactory progress, including passing evaluations and meeting training requirements, must be made throughout the process for continued employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and major maintenance procedures on the following: diesel engines and associated equipment, governors, air and electronic control systems, reduction gears, AC generators, electrical switchboards and electrical equipment, air compressors and hydraulic steering systems, refrigeration systems, air conditioning and heating systems, and sewage treatment and plumbing systems.

  • Maintain decking duties (barge work, making locks and any task requested by the vessel Captain).

  • Complete vessel orientation for each of the smaller classes of vessel.

  • Ability to safely fuel the motor vessel.

  • Perform general boat maintenance.

  • Participate in the Marine Structured Safety Process (SSP) and in any environmental and safety initiatives.

  • Assist shore-side with vessel outages.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card.

  • Valid Tankerman Credential required.

  • Must be able to pass a preemployment aptitude test, drug test, background check, and physical fitness test.

  • Must have five (5) or more years of River Engineering experience.

  • Must possess advanced mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills.

  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred.

Senior Production Engineer/System Owner

Provide leadership and support to meet the maintenance needs of manufacturing specifically compliance, quality, time, and budget.   • Conducts studies on engineering proposals to develop designs for process improvements, equipment redesigns, facility improvements and new equipment installation, utilizing and applying engineering principles, research data and proposed project specifications.

2. Proactively implements recommended optimizations and adjustments of production facilities and equipment including self-reliant assurance of GMP compliance (change management, qualification, and validation activities).

3. Must spend significant time "on the floor" across all operational shifts. Hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering solutions, developing processes, debug, and failure analyses.

4. Participates actively and collaboratively as a member of the operations team offering recommendations and ideas where appropriate.

5. Supports the coordination and planning of shutdown activities in regard to equipment and maintenance activities.

6. Supports Project Delivery department by providing input to all new projects for their department and actively engages in manufacturing, standard work, layout, validation, preventive maintenance, etc. discussions and reviews with consideration of cGMP compliance and Safety.

7. Oversees and provides support to Production Engineers in their daily work and maintenance planning for Operations. This work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Maximizes efficiency/OEE (Operational Equipment Effectiveness), yield, output, & capacity of the systems.
  • Supports updates to maintenance and calibration plans.
  • Provides analysis of equipment inspections and failures, developing repair and replacement plans on existing plant equipment.
  • Presents obsolesce of system parts and components that can impact safety, quality, and reliability.
  • Develops end-of-life replacement plans for the system to ensure reliable supply to our patients.
  • Collaborates with local and global partners to develop strategic asset management plan that includes capital requests.

Works collaboratively with multiple functional areas, Manufacturing, QA, QC Labs, EHS, Process Engineering among others.

8. In the absence of Production Engineers, provides support to Value Streams related to daily business.

9. Strictly complies with requirements from CSL Behring's Safety Program and procedures, including Health and Safety mandates, PPE requirements, and OSHA requirements. Responsible to immediately remove hazards and risks where possible by yourself or inform your supervisor as soon as possible. NVIDIA is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to join its Infrastructure Planning and Process Team! Responsibilities: 1. Technical lead accountable for the operational improvement of the utility systems based upon industry trends and emerging technologies:

3. Manage and monitor KPI's:

4. Ensure cGMP compliance of all utility systems to meet regulatory compliance:
  • Equipment is maintained at a level required to provide high reliability maximizing useful life
  • Review environmental monitoring and laboratory sample release test results
  • Manage deviations, investigations (CAPA's and OOT's) with on-time closure
  • Safely resolve process problems, improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize uptime production
  • Execute root cause analysis around equipment and operational events, owning change controls, investigations
  • Lead investigations as the subject matter expert providing technical expertise for all phases associated with the operation and troubleshooting of the utility systems
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the utility drawings, flow diagrams and Standard Operational documents.
  • Perform utility inspections for quality assurance on a periodic basis and initiate any procedures necessary to resolve problems
  • Responsible for utility inspections (GEMBA's/audits) for quality assurance on a periodic basis.
  • Responsible to ensure training, deviations and investigations related to utility systems have on-time closure and KPI performance metrics are met

The Transmission System Planning (TSP) department performs Interconnection studies, multi-year assessments and develops a portfolio of transmission expansion plans and projects to meet the company's transmission needs for delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers while adhering to North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) planning standards. Position Summary

This position is represented by the Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining.

This position is responsible for providing technical support and transmission system reliability analysis that supports the development of transmission solutions for generation interconnection studies to meet California's RPS goals, CPUC's mandates and policy initiatives for generation, distributed generation and energy storage while meeting NERC compliance requirements. The Journey level engineer resolves problems and typically may require direction from more senior engineers and the supervisor. Job Summary:

The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all structural engineering efforts for the company, specializing in the design and manufacturing of precast concrete products, primarily for parking structures in the commercial construction sector. Job Summary:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be expected to demonstrate professional expertise in designing, building, and supporting enterprise IT environments. You should possess in-depth knowledge of managing and supporting Microsoft Azure, SonicWALL/Fortinet firewalls, and Windows Server. Additionally, you will be responsible for automating tasks using PowerShell and Python. You will be a part of a team of three engineers responsible for supporting cloud environments, server systems, and network infrastructure. Position Description

Job Summary:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be expected to demonstrate professional expertise in designing, building, and supporting enterprise IT environments. You should possess in-depth knowledge of managing and supporting Microsoft Azure, SonicWALL/Fortinet firewalls, and Windows Server. Additionally, you will be responsible for automating tasks using PowerShell and Python. You will be a part of a team of three engineers responsible for supporting cloud environments, server systems, and network infrastructure. You will also provide second and third-level support to the help desk, ensuring seamless IT operations. This role requires strong documentation practices and effective communication across the organization.

Essential Functions:

1. Mastery . Provide technical expertise at the highest level, developing strategies and directions for network solutions utilizing current and emerging technologies. Translate business requirements into effective network or process designs.

2. Responsible for high- and low-level network planning, design, and optimization. Develop, implement, and enforce corporate policies, standards, and guidelines that are aligned with the company's strategic business objectives as they pertain to the corporate network.

3. Innovation. Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software, and architecture.

4. Build, configure, and maintain network switches, routers, access points, and various voice appliances.

5. Monitor network performance, ensuring capacity planning is conducted, and proactively assess and recommend improvements. Employ continuous improvement techniques to maximize the performance, security, and availability of the network infrastructure.

6. Ownership and caring. Ensure that the network environment maintains appropriate recovery protocols and addresses redundancy issues.

7. Effectively prioritize network faults, diagnose and resolve issues promptly, and maintain composure under pressure from various impacted business groups.

8. Provide design, implementation, and operational support for VoIP telephony systems, as well as for Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure environments.

9. Communication. Coordinate with sites to facilitate technician training for new hardware. Responsible for the daily monitoring and management of IP network appliances.

10. Develops and follows procedures to handle network fault events. Perform system-wide/cross-functional team management.

11. Plan and manage small to large-scale projects. Maintain all documentation regarding network infrastructure. Responsible for solving highly technical and complex network-related issues.

Position Requirements

Requirements, Education, and Experience:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems.

2. Strong knowledge of networking, specifically HPE/Aruba switches and Fortinet firewalls.

3. Familiarity with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer is a plus.

4. Expertise in Azure Cloud networking and server components.

5. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and complementary solutions.

6. Solid grasp of network standards and best practices.

7. Practical experience with PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and processes.

8. Fundamental networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and network routing.
